Summer at the Drive-In

We've found a relatively cheap way the whole family can enjoy time at the movies - the local drive-in! At first the kids didn't seem to know what to make of it - we park the car in a giant lot with a huge white screen in front of it? And we sit in the car or in lawn chairs outside and watch the movie? How bizarre! I have extremely vague memories of going to the drive-in when I was younger, but found the experience now to be a cool bit of retro. And how handy is it to have a movie the kids want to watch first, and then a movie the adults want to watch while the kids likely fall asleep in the car afterward? It's cool to live in an area where you can still do this - elsewhere drive-ins have pretty much gone the way of automat - a neat bit of retro that is gone now.
